Cased crystal means that layer of clear crystal is cased in colored crystal, which produces a two-tiered effect. The outer layer of colored crystal is grounded away in patterns, which let the inner clear crystal shine through. This is a very demanding process, and these chandeliers are thus slightly more expensive.
